My father was an avid collector and restorer of antique furniture.
Through him I gained a fundamental knowledge of antiques; their
aesthetics; and construction. Later, I attended art school. From
this background I gained the desire to design my own creations.
Even today, I am constantly impressed with the integrity and technical
mastery of the early craftsmen. I strive to emulate these qualities
in my work, whether it be the restoration of an antique, or the
design and creation of an original artwork.
